Job Description:
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement a Process Safety Management Plan to ensure all Asset Integrity and Process safety barriers are actively managed to meet the prescribed performance standards and to provide detailed assessment and risk management/mitigations when not. Develops and validates the integrity management plan and implements the monitoring and management procedure(s) for the intended period of operation.
- Identifies, develops, implements, and tracks all Process Safety related and input projects for projects and services at KM by liaison with EM, Engineers, OS, OM (Operations Manager), Erbil, and Sharjah Office.
- Champion role for Process Safety during the MOC processes and existing facilities to reduce overall risk.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supports Khor Mor Operations as the Technical Authority for all integrity, inspection, and compliance management.
- Develops and maintains programs to assure the condition of the process, utilities equipment, and pipelines will provide safe and reliable operation.
- Implements effective internal and external corrosion control strategies for all assets including pipelines.
- The definer and owner of the Performance Standards.
- The definer and Owner of the resultant Safety Critical Elements (SCE).
- The definer and active monitor of the Process Safety Barriers.
- Provides engineering and inspection input into scope for shutdowns/turnarounds.
- Develops and improves existing systems, standards, and procedures.
- Maintains technical integrity by identifying and mitigating risks in a timely and efficient manner Plans and resources integrity related activities to meet asset insurance requirements.
- Establishes effective processes/procedures for inspection, and technical auditing to manage compliance industry best practice and company standards.
- Maintains technical integrity by identifying and mitigating risks to assure the safety of continued operation with known defects.
- Assists with HazOp’s and other engineering reviews.
- Participates in safety meetings, audits, and action audit recommendations to assure the safety of continued operations.
- Participates in the identification of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incident investigations.
- Develops and implements ongoing review of pipeline monitoring and maintenance systems.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering
- At least 10 years’ experience in the Hydrocarbon processing industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing and implementing integrity management systems.
