Senior Contracts Engineer

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Perform all activities related to fulfilment of service requirements in line with Company’s standard process for Contracts. Support the team to develop the best contracting strategy that maximizes the spend value and protects Company’s assets and interests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Contracts Support

• Conduct contracting business in compliance with Company contracts & procurement guidelines and procedures.
• Work closely with engineering and technical departments to obtain technical specifications and scope of work documents.
• Review scope of works and develop tender strategies
• Maintain an updated database of contractors and suppliers for effective contracting
• Consider technical aspects when developing contracting strategies and evaluating proposals.
• Prepare Invitation to tender and manage the tendering process from issue of ITT to contract signature
• Prepare award recommendation and obtain approval for contracts and procurement.
• Draft and get the final contracts signed
• Enter contracts in SAP and issue call outs where required
• Initiate challenge and manage changes, extension, and/or amendments to the Contract and obtain necessary approvals
• Effectively communicate with internal customers and contractors and maintain bid and contract database with periodic reports.
• Set up, enter information, and maintain records of all contracting activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

• Incorporate Company’s HSE requirements in all contract documents to ensure protection of Company’s assets.

Continuous Improvements Of Position

• Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of industry contracting and procurement related initiatives and market trends/pricing.
• Takes ownership for the continuous development of personal and technical expertise and knowledge.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL, TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or MBA in Supply Chain management preferred
• Minimum 10 to 12 years Oil and Gas/ Process industry experience in Contracts management. SAP experience preferred
• MCIPS or certification in supply chain preferred
