Job Description: 

MAJOR FUNCTIONS 
Works with the Engineering Team to develop scopes of work, provides input to the planning process and delivers in accordance with the agreed schedule.
Provides first line process engineering support and discipline updates to KhorMor Engineering and Operations and works closely with both functions to improve and optimise plant capability in order to maximise gas delivery and liquids recovery, including managing the process to maximise the efficiency of both primary & secondary condensate recovery, and adjusting LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) recovery parameters to most effectively meet market demand.
Identifies, develops, implements and tracks all Process aspects relating to KhorMor projects and provides discipline expertise for centrally run projects (Erbil and Sharjah Offices).
Provides Technical input and champions Process and Process Safety for Hazard analysis, Safety reviews, Audit and MOC.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
Safety Analysis 

  • Conducts baseline process assessments of KhorMor facilities. 
  • Analyses results of these assessments, records findings and develops conclusions and recommendations to present to management.
  • Prepares technical aspects of process improvement measures.
  • Liaises with Sharjah Office Process Engineers (or outsourcing contractors) to ensure planned process changes are peer reviewed.
  • Conducts initial process engineering and process safety related evaluations in coordination with the Senior Process Safety Engineer, the Engineering Manager and subsequently the Plant Manager.

 

Process Engineering 

  • Train Operations & Maintenance personnel on process-related matters
  • Develop and enhance data-gathering, conduct de-bottlenecking studies, and increase LPG production.
  • Conduct liquid product specification studies and develop optimum means of plant enhancing liquids revenues. 
  • Conduct dynamic studies of KhorMor plant to optimise plant and enhance product quality, availability and reliability using appropriate models and tools e.g. HYSYS.
  • Undertake process studies of plant rotating and processing equipment, to determine actual vs design performance.
  • Builds and updates HYSYS plant models to maintain the actual process details updated as a tool for verification and improvement of plant performance.
  • Provides Process Engineering input and support to process safety engineering studies e.g. HAZOP

 

Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • Minimum (10) years’ experience in engineering, preferably Process Engineering with at least 5 years with operating facilities / or equivalent 
  • Minimum (5) years’ engineering experience in operating facilities.
