Job Description: 

MAJOR FUNCTION:

  • Ensures a safe, cost effective, environmentally compliant and effective operational performance and integrity of the installation, its facilities and personnel to deliver hydrocarbon exports in accordance with statutory and company standards and requirements Responsible for the integrity of the facility and the operational activity of the specific area in terms of manpower planning and scheduling and ensuring that the plant problems are resolved to enable uninterrupted operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Facility Management & Policy Compliance:

  • Accountable for assuring the execution of planned activities, once agreed at the planning meeting.
  • Accountable for full compliance with process safety procedures such as control of overrides, locked open locked closed valve register, operating procedures etc.
  • Accountable for ensuring production losses are fully investigated, process parameters are optimized to maximize production, production vulnerabilities and opportunities are understood,and a plan is in place to mitigate threats and materialize opportunities
  • Accountable for ensuring maintenance is executed as per plan and there are no safety critical jobs overdue.
  • Accountable for ensuring that Operational Risk Assessments are in place for operations out of normal.

Parameters:

  • Accountable for ensuring no piece of equipment is brought online after a modification, without approval as per Management of Change (MOC).
  • Deliver daily process safety, personal safety, Control of Work (including SIMOPS), and regulatory compliance related to R&M activities in order to maintain the license to operate and the integrity of plant equipment.
  • Builds a strong team to ensure versatility and adequate succession cover. Ensure the Operations team has appropriate skills and resources including personnel, process and tools to meet the business objectives and localization.
  • Manages all staff under authority professionally, fairly and reasonably in line with Company HR policies and protocol towards agreed objectives.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience involved in Emergency Response and/or Fire Fighting, Rescue and Support activities, Fire Protection, Fire Prevention and spill response.
  • 5 years’ experience as a Fire Trainer preferred
  • Oil and gas experience required.
  • Experience of creating Tactical Emergency Response Plans as well strategic Crisis Management plans at all levels of organizations.
  • Internationally recognized qualification in on-scene command and emergency response.
  • Recognized Fire Service Examinations preferred.
  • Recognized Fire & Rescue Shift Supervisors Examinations preferred.
  • Certifications for training on Confined Spaces, Firefighting equipment, SCBA, HAZMAT response
  • HAZWOPER Trainer preferred.
  • ICS Trainer Preferred.
  • Incident and accident certifications preferred
