Mechanical Commissioning/Maintenance Support Engineer

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
• Support the system handover process on behalf of operations team for all static and rotating mechanical systems in preparation for start up and final takeover of facility, as per our Project to Asset (P2A) process.
• Once handover is completed and facility is in operation, the role will migrate to supporting the maintenance team in a mentoring leadership role to provide on the job training, enhancing maintenance programs and developing the national team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• To provide in-depth technical knowledge and experience to support effective handover of systems and subsystems of facility as per our P2A process.
• Represent Operations as required to walkdown systems, validate and witness dynamic commissioning plans and to validate that’s systems/subsystems are ready for start up (RFSU)
• Support the startup of the facility in conjunction with Project team
• Once Facility is in operational mode, migrate to a senior mentoring advisory role for our maintenance mechanical department
• Support the mechanical team to develop and enhance maintenance practices
• Take a leadership and mentoring role in troubleshooting activities.
• To provide onsite coaching for national staff.
• Support and drives implementation of the maintenance plan and drives performance improvements
• Support reliability improvements
• Ensure all activities undertaken by the maintenance team are in compliance with the CreDan and regulatory HSSE standards.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in both Commissioning and maintenance roles, preferably have come from a superintendent or supervisory position in a mechanical department.
• Have proven experience in projects to asset transfers in the past, and an understanding of project handovers
• Proven at troubleshooting technical problems, including pumps, reciprocating compressors, and other rotating equipment
• Subject matter expert in maintenance techniques on mechanical systems.
• SAP experience or CMMS experience desirable.
