Job Description:
Major Functions
- Provide first line Instrumentation and Control Engineering support to the KhorMor operations. This position will work closely with the Plant Manager and Operations Superintendent to exploit the plant capability to maximize gas delivery, and liquids recovery managing the Instrumentation and Control Engineering aspects to maximize the efficiency of both primary & secondary condensate recovery and excess gas production, while enhancing plant and process reliability and availability.
Essential Functions
Safety Analysis
- Conducts baseline Instrumentation and Control Engineering assessments of Khormor facilities.
- Analyses results of these assessments and distils them into conclusions to present to management.
- Prepares technical aspects of Instrumentation and Control Engineering improvement measures.
- Liaises with Sharjah Instrumentation and Control Engineers to ensure planned Instrumentation and Control Engineering changes are peer reviewed.
- Conducts initial Instrumentation and Control Engineering related evaluations in coordination with KM Operations and KM Facilities Engineering.
Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Train Operations & Maintenance personnel on Instrumentation and Control Engineering-related matters
- Develop and enhance data-gathering, conduct de-bottlenecking studies, and increase LPG production reliability and availability.
- Conduct liquid and gas product specification studies and develop optimum means of plant metering enhancing liquids and gas revenues.
- Conduct dynamic studies of Khormor plant controls and systems, and tune plant to enhance availability/reliability.
- Undertake Instrumentation and Control Engineering studies of plant rotating and instrument & electrical equipment, to determine actual vs design performance and propose fit for purpose control schemes.
Reporting and Communication
- Reports to the Principle Facilities Engineer on all issues relating to Instrumentation and Control Engineering safety.
- Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all CreDan staff.
Continuous Improvement of Position
- Conducts studies to identify areas for improvement on continues basis particularly those related to Instrumentation and Control Engineering analysis and procedures. Recommends subsequent actions to Asset and Senior Operations Management.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related qualification from Further Education with appropriate experience.
- Minimum of 10 Years in Engineering, preferably Instrumentation and Control Engineering with at least 5 years with operating facilities either as client or EPC consultant (commissioning / startup).
- 5 Years of Instrumentation and Control design experience, preferably with on site experience.
- 5 Years of systems design experience covering DCS / PLC / safety systems and packaged equipment.
- 5 years of experience with Instrumentation and control commissioning.
