JOB SUMMARY

This position is a role reporting to the HSE Manager providing support to HSE improvements. Main responsibilities are split into:

  1. Liaising between the KM250/KM500 projects and KM Operations team to ensure HSE implications of the project work and impacts on current operation are safely managed. Ensuring the safe handover of new systems to operations.
  2. Leading improvements on the KM Operations HSE Management system, liaising with all departments to ensure a fit for purpose Operational Management system is created for both current operations and future operations.
  3. Providing general support, the HSE Manager to move forward HSE continuous improvements on the KM Operations sites, providing advice on strategic and site health, safety and environmental planning and resourcing.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

  1. Assists in localization program through on job training, coaching, and supporting the development of local national employees.
  2. Liaise closely with the KM250/KM500 project HSE team and Operations based liaison team from Operations and Maintenance to ensure a close Interface with the project work and operational work.
  3. Assist in developing and driving forwards a clear Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) process.
  4. Ensure the PSSR process is correctly followed for all scopes being commissioned and handed over to operations.
  5. Track all HSE impacted items highlighted through the PSSR process, ensuring a diligent completion of all required actions.
  6. Support the creation of a clear Management System framework, liaising with site level and corporate level teams.
  7. Review findings of recent Management System audits and implement procedural based improvements as required.
  8. Visit the work site as required to ensure a full understanding of the tasks being carried out
  9. Engage the workforce in the preparation of documents and complete comprehensive review processes to ensure buy in at all levels.
  10. Assist in HAZID/HAZOP study workshops when requested by the HSE Management
  11. Coach/mentor HSE team in all aspects of their duties
  12. Demonstrate HSE leadership through positive behavior and attitude towards HSE.
  13. Undertake site inspections and audits with a focus on HSE arrangements and compliance.
  14. Mentor and provide support to incident investigation teams.
  15. Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations
  16. Weekly and Monthly reports to the HSE Manager regarding HSE activity highlights
  17. Actively participate in scheduled HSE meetings
  18. Other HSE related duties and tasks at the discretion of the line manager .

 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL, TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. A proven track record in similar roles with 10 years minimum experience, at least 5 years must have been in the oil and gas industry.
  2. Fully experienced in working with safety management systems with an understanding of local safety management regulations
  3. Experience working in remote multinational environments
  4. Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
  5. Experience in SAP system desirable
  6. Projects and production operations experience required
  7. Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  8. Understanding of Oil and Gas industry safety critical processes and systems
  9. Project HSE Interfacing experience preferred
