Job Description: 

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

  • As a seasoned practitioner in key roles within the control of work process e.g., performing authority, area authority, issuing authority, approving authority, this role forms part of the continuous HSE improvement of Khormor Field Operations, supporting the daily management of the LPG recovery plant and offsites in all aspects of Control of Work Processes. Ensures smooth efficient running of the CREDAN Control of Work system, including the PTW System. Improving the integrity and achieving the highest standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Control of Work Processes & Functions

  • Ensures the CREDAN PTW System and Control of Work is functioning.
  • Leads the daily Field PTW Meetings until such time as best practice is embedded.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to PTW Coordinators and all Permit Authorities in the administration of the PTW System.
  • Ensures that correct planning and rigour is carried out in the submission of Permits prior to the PTW meetings.
  • Reviews all submitted PTW and supporting documentation ahead of the PTW Meeting, to ensure accuracy and sufficiency.
  • Identifies where further information is required and works with Performing Authorities to ensure the Task is fully described, appropriate supplementary forms are completed, risks and controls identified.
  • Identifies the need for a Level 2 Task Risk Assessment to be carried out and advises Performing Authorities to organize TRA meeting.
  • Identifies the need for Process/Mechanical/Electrical Isolation.
  • Ensures all supporting documentation is included in the PTW: TRA’s, Method Statements, Marked-up P&ID’s, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Isolation Certificates, Isolation Deviation certificates, Excavation Clearance certificates, CSE certificates, Radiography, Vehicle access certificates, Toolbox Talks.
  • Ensures AGT’s are available for initial and ongoing gas testing where required.
  • Ensures all relevant Signatures are obtained before allowing the PTW to be issued.
  • Identifies High Risk activities (Naked Flame Hot Work in live plant, heavy lifting, Project Tie-ins) and ensures relevant Ops Superintendent informed and signature is included.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering or technical qualifications along with extensive experienced background in similar hydrocarbon facilities. Extensive industry experience considered in lieu of technical qualifications.
  • Minimum of 20 years in hydrocarbon facilities, with 10 Years at mid to senior managerial level (e.g. Superintendent/TA). Experience as CoW lead/manager of onshore Gas & LPG plant is essential. Brownfield experience and SIMOPS Control essential. Previous experience in E-PTW systems and isolation procedures is also essential.
